West Cheshire College trialed ultrawide band (UWB) RFID supplied by Zebra Technologies whilst Zebra Technologies were on the working task group developing the UWB standard IEEE802.15. Children at the college wore the active RFID tags, emitting a frequency every second to a range of 100m, from 2010 – 2013. West Cheshire College have no information whatsoever relating to this UWB RFID used to track the children and had no communication at all with Zebra Technologies, even given the fact the Zebra had filmed students and staff for the below video.
